One address, read by the person who maintains the data. A wrong figure in a
spec table is the reason this site should exist — leaving it up is worse than having no page
at all, so corrections get priority over everything else.
No contact form on this site. A form on a static site either forwards your
address to a third party or silently fails; a plain email reaches the same person with fewer
steps and no data broker in between.
02What to include
The most common reason a correction cannot be applied is that the message does not say
which vehicle it is about. Trim strings differ by year, and two cars that look identical can
have different engines. Please include:
The model year, make and model — not just "Honda Civic".
The page address you are looking at.
What is wrong, and what the correct figure should be.
A source if you have one — the window sticker, the owner's manual page, the
government filing. A photo of the door-jamb label is fine.
03What gets a reply
Factual corrections. Wrong mpg, wrong recall remedy text, wrong crash rating,
wrong code meaning. Checked against the primary government source and fixed.
Broken pages. A 404, a manual link that no longer resolves, a page that will not
load. Repaired, or the link is removed.
Takedown and legal. Copyright, trademark or data-owner requests. Handled
separately and ahead of everything else — see terms.
Not answered: requests to diagnose a specific car, to price a repair, or to decode
a VIN. This site has no workshop and cannot see your vehicle — see
what this site cannot tell you.
04Safety
Before you touch anything: do not work under a vehicle supported only by a
jack. Use rated stands on a hard level surface. Anything involving the high-voltage system of
a hybrid or electric vehicle, the fuel system, or the airbag system must be handled by a
qualified technician — a mistake in any of those can kill you, and nothing in an email from
this site overrides that.
