Summaries are quoted verbatim from NHTSA's official campaign records. A single campaign often covers dozens of model years and several nameplates, so a summary may name vehicles other than the 2019 Passport — that is normal. Every record listed here carries this vehicle's own make, model and model year in NHTSA's database. Whether a recall is still open on a particular car can only be determined by VIN.

Owner complaints by component

282 owner complaints on file with NHTSA for the 2019 Passport, grouped by the component owners reported. Counts reflect how many owners complained, not how often the fault actually occurs.

The Auto Idle stop, turned off the car at a busy intersection, I was able to restart the car and took it in to the dealer. They installed a new battery, which has been working for about a year, then yesterday the AIS caused the car to stop again at a stop light and again today when I was waiting to make a left turn. Each time it has stopped it has taken longer to get the car to restart. This is a very scary situation when driving in traffic with my grandchild in the car. It seems unlikely that I need another new battery. The car only has 55,000 miles. I will be taking the car in again, b
