Summaries are quoted verbatim from NHTSA's official campaign records. A single campaign often covers dozens of model years and several nameplates, so a summary may name vehicles other than the 2022 Odyssey — that is normal. Every record listed here carries this vehicle's own make, model and model year in NHTSA's database. Whether a recall is still open on a particular car can only be determined by VIN.
141 owner complaints on file with NHTSA for the 2022 Odyssey, grouped by the component owners reported. Counts reflect how many owners complained, not how often the fault actually occurs.

A complaint is an unverified owner report. It is a signal about where to look, not proof of a defect.
Verbatim excerpts from NHTSA complaint filings on this model year. These are the owners' own words, not our diagnosis, and each one is a single unverified report.
First, the windshield. It cracks for any Little Rock that hits it. I’ve never had this issue with any other car in my life! I’ve had to fix 4 cracks and now it completely cracked and have to replace the entire windshield. Second the sliding door!s!!!!! It’s been an ongoing issue as well. It either closes half way and returns clicking sound and now today it doesn’t open or close I had to force it open to let my kids out! I means bought this car brand new and it’s been nothing but issues! These types of issues should not be occurring on a relatively new car.

The trunk on the van will close on its own. It does give a warning by beeping, but it’s happened at least half a dozen times. When the trunk comes down it happens quickly and has hit multiple people in the head. It’s very heavy too.

The engine fails to restart on its own after the Auto Idle Stop (auto start/stop) system shuts it off at a stop. When this occurs the vehicle is left without power and I must shift to Park and restart the engine manually with the ignition button. This has happened while I was stopped at an intersection in traffic, leaving the vehicle disabled in a live lane until I could restart it. This is a serious safety hazard — the vehicle cannot move when traffic begins to move, and it cannot be moved out of the path of cross traffic. I was driving forward in the left lane, no cars in front of me. A garbage truck parked in the middle yellow lane to my left, a moving city bus on my right lane, but they were a bit further back, not driving next to me. There was a cae behind me. Was going at 25mph, then suddenly the automatic brake stopped my car. I didn’t understand why. It happened for a good 3 seconds. Then I was able to continue forward. So scary!!! No one close to my left or right or in front of me. The car behind me almost hit me because of the automatic brake.

I have done all services according to Honda dealer. At 120,000 miles my transmission is bad and I have to replace it now They are asking for $4000.00

The transmission failed on two separate occasions. The first instance occurred while making a left turn when the gear shifting malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to emit a groaning noise. This happened at a speed of less than 5 mph and lasted only a couple of seconds. The second incident took place while I was waiting at a traffic light. When the light turned green, my vehicle failed to move. I immediately turned on the emergency lights, as I was the first car in the lane. More than half a dozen vehicles passed me before I turned off the engine and restarted it, which allowed me to move just
