Mid/Rear Assembly
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2011-2017 Honda Odyssey vehicles. The second row outboard seats can slide sideways to one of two positions. If a seat is placed between either of the two positions when attaching the seat to the vehicle floor, the seat will not latch properly to the seat striker, allowing the seat to tip forward unexpectedly during braking.

Risk: If the seat tips forward during braking, it can increase the risk of injury.
Fix: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will install a bracket to the second row outboard floor strikers, free of charge. The recall began April 2, 2018. Owners may contact American Honda Customer Support & Campaign Center at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is S0G.

This release lever may remain in the unlocked position allowing the seats to move unexpectedly.

Risk: An unlocked second row outboard seat increases the risk of injury to the seat occupant during a crash.
Fix: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will install an additional bracket and spring to both second row outboard seats, free of charge. Interim letter has been mailed, and a second notification will be sent . Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this…

Air Bags Honda is recalling certain model year 2009-2013 Pilot and 2011-2013 Odyssey passenger vehicles manufactured from March 13, 2008, through December 21, 2012. One or more rivets that attach the airbag module to the airbag cover may be missing.

Risk: The absence of more than one rivet could alter the performance of the driver's airbag during deployment. This could potentially increase the risk of injury during a crash.
Fix: Honda will notify owners and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Honda dealer. The dealer will inspect the driver's airbag module and replace it if necessary, free of charge. The recall began on March 14, 2013. Owners may contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009.

Summaries are quoted verbatim from NHTSA's official campaign records. A single campaign often covers dozens of model years and several nameplates, so a summary may name vehicles other than the 2011 Odyssey — that is normal. Every record listed here carries this vehicle's own make, model and model year in NHTSA's database. Whether a recall is still open on a particular car can only be determined by VIN.

A complaint is an unverified owner report. It is a signal about where to look, not proof of a defect.

Both navigation clock and vehicle radio clock are showing incorrect time and I am not able to set it to correct time either. It is causing confusion all the time as we are very used to of these clocks.

Service Brakes (28 complaints)

BRAKE PEDAL IS SOFT AND GOES ALMOST TO THE FLOOR. HAVE HAD THE MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE PADS, AND CALIPERS REPLACED AT DAVID MCDAVID IN 2018. BRAKE PEDAL REMAINED SOFT AND GOES ALMOST TO THE FLOOR. EITHER THE BRAKE ROTORS WARP OR THE PADS DEPOSIT SOMETHING ONTO THE ROTORS. THE CAR HABITUALLY GOES THROUGH BRAKES, A SINGLE LONG DESCENT WILL CAUSE BRAND NEW BRAKES TO JUTTER BACK AND FORTH VIOLENTLY, WHICH IS UNNERVING FEELS LIKE IT DECREASES BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS. EVEN IN LIGHT USE THE ROTORS HAVE TO BE SURFACED AND PADS ARE REPLACE TWICE A YEAR. THIS IS MENTIONED VERY FREQUENTLY ONLINE IN FORUMS, AND WHEN BROUGHT UP TO A DEALERSHIP THEY DENY ANY CHRONIC BRAKE PROBLEMS. THEY INSIST DRIVERS MUST BE "RIDING THE BRAKES".

Structure (16 complaints)

Severe rust and corrosion since 2015. Spreading across the whole roof line and visibly peeling paint. Not typical peeling paint, it appears to have originated beneath the trim or roof components, suggesting a possible failure of seem sealant, design drainage or factory primer. This points to a latent defect due go early onset and location and not normal wear.

My 2011 Honda Odyssey's tailgate paint is peeling off and just found out they have a recall in the past and they extended the paint warranty to 7 days. The problem is we just found the paint problem last year and just found out they recalled and the warranty is expired. We don't know why Honda limited the warranty for their known issues and set the limited warranty. [XXX] . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was up for my next oil change but did not receive any indicators from the vehicle that my oil was low or needed to be changed. My drive into work that day was fine, but when I went to move my vehicle around lunch time I noticed it was making a strange sound and was shaking a little bit. After work I decided to take my vehicle into AutoZone to have someone take a look a my vehicle and run an engine diagnostic on it. The A
