Summaries are quoted verbatim from NHTSA's official campaign records. A single campaign often covers dozens of model years and several nameplates, so a summary may name vehicles other than the 2015 Fit — that is normal. Every record listed here carries this vehicle's own make, model and model year in NHTSA's database. Whether a recall is still open on a particular car can only be determined by VIN.
284 owner complaints on file with NHTSA for the 2015 Fit, grouped by the component owners reported. Counts reflect how many owners complained, not how often the fault actually occurs.

A complaint is an unverified owner report. It is a signal about where to look, not proof of a defect.

The digital gauge on the Genuine Honda Fit Instrument Cluster (factory-installed) flickers or goes blank intermittently. It is a well-documented and known defect in this model. The gauge is currently being replaced and I have asked for the defective part for evidence. The gauge includes the odometer, trip computer, digital fuel gauge, and engine oil information. It is a safety issue because you can run out of fuel, cannot track trip mileage (important when navigating in more remote areas), and can't see overall mileage (don't know when to service vehicle, etc.). The vehicle has experienced the same electrical/charging problem twice. The first time, three warning lights came on while I was driving. The vehicle subsequently lost electrical power and began experiencing a significant loss of acceleration. The warning lights then went off, followed by a situation where there were no warning lights displayed. The vehicle's acceleration became slower, the steering wheel began to feel as though it was locking, and the vehicle eventually broke down. This created a serious safety concern because the vehicle lost power and became difficult to control while I was

The fuel gauge, which is digital, has a soldering point which is apparently a known failure spot due to the type of solder used. This causes the display to fail, which makes the fuel gauge unreadable. Not only is this a distraction for drivers, but it can lead to running out of gas unexpectedly in dangerous situations.

My check engine light came on, but shut off by the time I was able to see a repair shop. I needed a smog, but they decided to check my car first to see why the light came on and went away. It had to do with the fuel injector/catalytic converter. He wanted me to drive it a bit and come back to see if it would go away. It did not, even though my lights remained off and the car was operating fine. Had I not needed the smog check, I would have canceled the appointment and not known. After doing research, it is common for fuel injectors on my car to fail due to a faulty part. Honda issued an extend
