Steering | Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. Risk: Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash. Fix: Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV. |
Summaries are quoted verbatim from NHTSA's official campaign records. A single campaign often covers dozens of model years and several nameplates, so a summary may name vehicles other than the 2025 CR-V — that is normal. Every record listed here carries this vehicle's own make, model and model year in NHTSA's database. Whether a recall is still open on a particular car can only be determined by VIN.
261 owner complaints on file with NHTSA for the 2025 CR-V, grouped by the component owners reported. Counts reflect how many owners complained, not how often the fault actually occurs.

A clicking sound is heard every time I turn the vehicle, and the steering wheel feels like it’s a bit stuck. I know there was a gearbox recall but my vehicle was not included on this recall. I read al the symptoms for the electric gearbox defect and it matches what I am experiencing with my car.

When driving around a corner at 2.5k RPMs, it felt like a cylinder in the engine went out, and the entire car put itself into limp mode, and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas Tree, with every indicator light being illuminated. I pulled the car over, shut it off, and checked the engine for any signs of damage, and there were none. After turning the car back on again, it the car ran like normal; however, every light was still on the dashboard. I took it into a shop later that day, and had it hooked up to a code reader. The only code that was still being transmitted was the P0011 code. I had

the CMBS, auto braking system is engaging and BRAKING my car for no reason. For example, driving 70mph on turnpike, it engaged on a dry road, clear day with no other cars or items in front of me. VERY dangerous. vehicles behind me could have crashed into me. happened at least 2 more times on 35/40mph with NOTHING on road. the only thing i can do is disengage it EVERY single time i start the engine. Took to my Moon Township dealer who said it can happen and sent me home. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

While driving to store for errands today, 09May26, I came to a stop at a red light with intent to turn right next. I turned on my right blinker and turned a bit to the right and rolled forward to gain visibility to my left as I came to a complete stop. There was a car coming from the left that was preparing to turn left. I observed that car turn on its left blinker, and slow down while entering its turn. I confirmed the intersection was clear and there was nothing in front of me. I applied the gas, then looked left to confirm the other car was completing its left turn. While I was slowly acc
